Coma victim from M1 crash dies

Popular culture
4 March, 2008

Model Kaya Bousquet, who was left in a coma after a horrific car crash on the MI motorway last week, has died.

The 23-year-old died in hospital a week after two of her friends, 22-year-old club promoter Patience Jackson and up-and-coming R&B singer Danielle Campbell, 23, also known as D*Krystal, were killed.

Kaya had appeared in videos with Dizzee Rascal, The Game, Westlife and The Streets.

All three young women were badly hurt after a lorry collided with their Toyota Yaris car on the M1 in north London. Model Iyoni Ellington, 23, who escaped with a broken jaw, is the only survivor.

The lorry driver, a 50-year-old male, was arrested and is to appear in court in April.
