Popular culture
14 June, 2012

Chris Brown and Drake have reportedly been involved in a violent altercation at a New York nightclub.

According to reports, the 23-year-old R’n’ B star and the 25-year-old Canadian rapper clashed in at the famed Greenhouse club over Brown’s ex Rihanna.

Reports claim the fight broke out when Brown sent a bottle of champagne to Drake’s table, which was quickly sent back with a message boasting about Drizzy having slept with Brown’s ex.

Brown immediately confronted the Young Money rapper – who was out with tourmate Meek Mill – and reportedly got punched in the face before being repeatedly hit in with a bottle, opening a two-inch gash on his chin.

An onlooker told celebrity site Groovevolt.com: “There were bottles being thrown from Drake’s entourage and some say they saw Meek Mills also throw a punch at Chris,”

According to sources, security broke up the the fight and Drake immediately left the club while Brown ended up hospitalised and needing stitches.

Brown later posted a picture of his injury on Twitter as well as a series of tweets referring to incident, which he later deleted.

“N*ggas throwing bottles! Y’all n*ggaz weak!” Breezy posted in one tweet, following that up with “Bottles? It’s nothing,” and a snap of gash before adding. “N*ggas is pussy! How u party wit a rich nigga that hate?

Lol…. Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!”

“Ok! N*ggas stand behind security!!!! Ok! U don’t pay them enough! N*ggas hiding in the bathroom bitch as n*ggas!”
