Nobody Canna Cross It – Clifton Brown goes viral

Clifton Brown - Nobody Canna Cross It
Popular culture
10 October, 2011

In June 2011, Jamaica experienced some devastating rains. This is not unusual. What is unusual is that the misfortune faced by the people of St Andrew could inspire a viral video.

A section of the Robertsfield main road was severely flooded and entrepreneur Clifton Brown was expertly helping people across for a fee.

TVJ news crew interviewed Mr Brown who explained the plight of the people and a star was born.

Young Jamaican, Kevin-Sean Hamilton (aka ‘DJ Powa’), created a hysterical musical adaptation of Clifton’s interview which went viral and is available for download on iTunes. The video is entitled Nobody Canna Cross It and resamples pieces of Clifton Brown’s interview as well as others.

So to sum up: If you cannot swim, you cannot cross it.

Thanks for sharing this. I have played it so many times, I have to buy it from iTunes. It’s very addictive.
