Thanks to Miley Cyrus twerking is now a worldwide phenomena. All over the web news outlets have been reporting on her crazy (and some have said disgusting) display at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA).
It’s such a big thing that ABC News had to call in a scientist to explain it.

I was so fucking embarrassed for them but could not help laughing my ass off when Black Twitter gave then a roasting using the hashtag #ABCReports. Seriously, where were they when I was twerking to Rump Shaker?
Not to be outdone KXRM meteorologist Justin Chambers and news anchor Kimberly Price decided to have a go at twerking on air, ‘cos why not?
Getting back to Miley, Robin Thicke’s own mum has come out and complained about the singer’s raunchy shenanigans.
Thicke’s mum Gloria Loring said:
I just keep thinking of her mother and father watching this. Oh, Lord, have mercy.
“I was not expecting her to be putting her butt that close to my son. The problem is now I can never ‘unsee’ it.”
We know what you mean Gloria. The images are etched on my mind. And what’s with the tongue?
In the same week that the shit was hitting the fan for Miley the Oxford English dictionary added twerking to its list of words. To prove that Miley did not create twerking the word was added because it had become increasingly visible in the past 12 months.
Another word added to the dictionary was omnishambles – meaning a situation, which is shambolic from every possible angle. I’d say that describes Miley’s VMA performance quite nicely.
