Zimmerman reportedly rescues family from car crash

It’s been reported that Trayvon Martin killer, George Zimmerman and another rescued four people from a car in Florida last week.

The alleged rescue came four days after he was acquitted of Trayvon’s death.

Zimmerman was said to be one of two men who helped free four family members trapped in an overturned Ford Explorer after it crashed on a highway in Sanford on Wednesday, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said.

“He did not witness the crash,” sheriff’s spokeswoman Kim Cannaday told Reuters news agency.

“He rolled up on it after the fact and assisted in getting the family out of the vehicle.”

Asked if Mr Zimmerman was being called a hero, the police spokeswoman said: “We’re not going that far.”

“George was able to help the family get out of the car before the first responders got there,” Sean Vincent, a spokesman for his legal team, told reporters.

Zimmerman gave a statement to a police deputy, who recognised him, and then left, Vincent said.

Zimmerman is not mentioned in the accident report so at least the PR stunt stopped short of going on official record with this mess. I call shenanigans. Zimmerman is supposed to be in hiding since the end of the trial; as much as we need him to, he can’t hide forever. What better way to raise his profile than to get Olivia Pope’s equivalent on the case. I just don’t believe it. Sorry.

His cop friend staged the whole thing. I wonder if the police will do anything about that. Surely a suspension without pay for a while might teach him not to be a sycophantic asshole. Did he really believe the public would believe this bullshit?
