New London home for Jay-Z and Beyonce

Hip-hop and R‘n’B royalty Jay-Z and Beyonce have just bought a massive £ 5.5 million London town house, it’s been reported.

Last week, they announced their joint US stadium tour – possibly called the Mr and Mrs Carter Show, which is expected to come to the UK in the autumn. Now we hear the power couple could be spending a lot more time in Britain in their newly purchased luxury West London townhouse.

They do seem to like London. Remember when they were spotted in Forest Hill that one time?

”Both Jay and Beyonce are Anglophiles and have been toying with the idea of getting a pad for a couple of years now,” a source told the Daily Mirror.

”On previous trips, they have stayed in five-star hotels and, on one occasion, a rented mansion. While money isn’t an issue, it makes sense for them to have a more permanent base and get to know one particular area.”

”They are coming to England this year and touring before the year is out,” the insider added.

The 44-year-old hip-hop titan joined Beyonce on her Mrs Carter tour in the UK earlier this year, where the couple enjoyed several nights out in London – heading to the White Lyan pub in Hoxton, east London, as well as hitting the Arts Club in Soho.
