Maafa comes from the Swahili term “Maafa”, which means “tragedy” or “disaster”, and is used to describe the centuries of oppression of African people, globally, during slavery, apartheid and colonial rule. “21″ refers to the Maafa of the 21st century.
The latter part of the documentary insists that black genocide exists today through birth control and abortion. This matter is subjective as I, and many people believe it is a woman’s right to choose. However, around the world, America forces birth control on many black countries after natural disasters. The government insists that countries agree to birth control measures before it is given any aid. After Hurricane Katrina, the people of New Orleans were subject to this threat as were Haiti, Guyana and other black countries.
They were stolen from their homes, locked in chains and taken across an ocean. And for more than 200 years, their blood and sweat would help to build the richest and most powerful nation the world has ever known.
But when slavery ended, their welcome was over. America’s wealthy elite had decided it was time for them to disappear and they were not particular about how it might be done.
What you are about to see is that the plan these people set in motion 150 years ago is still being carried out today. So don’t think that this is history. It is not. It is happening right here, and it’s happening right now.
In terms of history, the documentary does well. It begins to fall down as it promotes its anti-abortion agenda.
