Donald Trump’s legacy of white supremacy

Donald Trump is a racist. This isn’t a new revelation, but it has been reiterated and confirmed throughout his presidential campaign and subsequent time in office. From the very beginning, Trump has stoked the flames of racism and bigotry and has never made a secret of his disdain for people of colour.

His legacy will be one of white supremacy and hatred. Trump has emboldened the far right and given them a voice and a platform. He has legitimised their views and given them permission to act on their hatred.

What is white supremacy?

White supremacy is a hateful, dangerous ideology that believes white people are superior to all other races. It is the belief that white people should have dominance over all other races and that white people should be the only group to hold power and privilege in society. White supremacists often use violence and intimidation to promote their views and terrorise people of colour.

White supremacy in America isn’t new. It has been present in the United States since its inception and has taken on different forms over time. White supremacy is often perpetuated through institutional policies and individual attitudes.

The impact of white supremacy on society is far-reaching and devastating. It has led to exploitation, discrimination, and violence against people of colour. It has also denied them access to education, employment, housing, and other basic needs.

Effects of white supremacy include racism, prejudice, and discrimination. The impact of white supremacy on society is immense. It contributes to social inequality and injustice. Non-white people are disproportionately affected by white supremacy, but it ultimately harms us all.

Legacy

Trump’s legacy will be one of violence and division. Donald Trump has a long and well-documented history of racism. His racism and bigotry have been on full display throughout his presidential campaign and into his time in office. From calling Mexicans rapists and criminals to endorsing violence against black protesters, Trump has repeatedly shown that he is a dangerous and hateful leader.

The. Trump instigated the attack on the Capital, and he should be arrested and charged with inciting violence. I doubt he will be. The Republican party didn’t have the will to do anything about his impeachment and rallied around him when he claimed the vote was rigged. This is democracy dying. This is Trump’s legacy.

His legacy of white supremacy will have severe and devastating consequences for the country. Trump’s policies have already had a devastating impact on marginalised communities, and things will only worsen. Racism, bigotry, and hate became normalised under Trump. Biden has his work cut out to show the world that America isn’t a white supremacist country.
