Family and friends are in mourning after a horrific motorway smash left two girls dead and one fighting for her life in a coma.

22-year-old club promoter and model Patience Jackson, up and coming R&B singer Danielle Campbell 23, also known as D*Krystal were killed after a lorry collided with their Toyota Yaris car on the M1 in north London.

Surviving passengers were 23 year-old model Kaya Bousquet, who has appeared in videos with Dizzee, Game, Westlife and the Streets. She at time of going to press, fighting for her life in a coma.

Also in the car was model Iyoni Ellington, 23, who escaped with a broken jaw.

The four friends, who are well known socialites, were said to be returning from Birmingham after seeing the R&B singers Joe and Mario perform in concert. It is understood the women stopped in the hard shoulder because they had run out of petrol, when a lorry ploughed into the back of their car.

Five ambulances and two fast response vehicles were called to the incident. However, medics pronounced Patience dead at the scene while Danielle died later in hospital.

Campbell had been in the process of recording her debut album before the accident. Her MySpace page revealed her desire to pursue a music career. ‘Music is my passion. I’ve dreamt of winning an award someday, whether it’s the Grammys, the Brits or even the Mobos.’

The lorry driver, a 50-year-old male, suffered only superficial injuries and was arrested in connection with the incident. He was taken to a north London police station where he was later bailed to return in April.
