Doc Brown Rap 101

Popular culture
28 April, 2013

I’ve watched this video almost a dozen times.
But I need to stop now cos, I’m talking in rhymes.
Sitting here listening and my head just bops.
I look mega stupid, so I really need to stop!

LOL. Seriously, Doc Brown Rap 101 was my first introduction to Doc Brown and I have to say, I found this very funny.

As we all know with every generation, street slang evolves so that parents can’t relate. Jamaican patois is interwoven with English words to take on new life and set generations further apart. Some words stay the same but have totally different meanings.  Doc Brown attempts to translate current slang into plain English.

The YouTube comments on this video goes to prove that the interpretation can vary from town to town as many people argue about what ‘peak’ means.

So is ‘peak’ good or bad for you?
