Barack Obama 1991 TBS Black History video

Popular culture
23 November, 2011

Internet users are enjoying a 1991 video in which a young Barack Obama, a Harvard Law School student, talks about pioneering African-American lawyer Charles Hamilton Houston.

A fresh-faced Obama taped the video as part of the “Black History Minute” series the TBS cable station ran in 1991.

Who could have guessed how far that young man would have reached in less than two decades?
